Supporting Our Summerland Community
Wildfire relief and financial support for our community
For more than 80 years, we have been proud to support and serve the Summerland community. Today, it is home to our head office, our Summerland Branch, many of our employees, and thousands of our members. As the Bald Range wildfire continues to affect the region, many people are facing uncertainty and disruption. We are committed to standing with our community and supporting those impacted.
To support urgent needs in the community, Cascadia is providing:
- $15,000 to the SOS Summerland Wildfire Relief Fund to help meet immediate needs and support people affected by the wildfire.
- $2,500 to Mamas for Mamas, whose team is mobilizing to get essential supplies and support to people affected by the wildfire.
- $2,500 to the Animal Lifeline Emergency Response Team (ALERT) to support the rescue and shelter of domestic animals and livestock displaced by the wildfire.
Support for our members and businesses
For members and businesses directly impacted by the wildfire, financial relief options may be available based on individual circumstances and eligibility. These may include emergency relief loans and mortgage payment deferrals to help with immediate financial needs and support recovery.

Supporting Summerland's recovery
We know recovery will continue long after the immediate emergency has passed. As Summerland moves into recovery and rebuilding, Cascadia will provide additional grant funding to support local non-profit and community organizations supporting that work.
Our roots in Summerland run deep. We’ll continue working with community organizations and listening to what our members and businesses need as the situation evolves.
