A pay-as-you-go account with low transaction fees. For members who don’t make many banking transactions.
Certain basic transactions are free and unlimited, such as e-transfers, online bill payments, and direct deposits.
Other services, such as debit purchases and withdrawals, are $0.75 per transaction.
Is Essential Spending the Right Account for You?
This account may be right for you if you make a small number of transactions each month and want to keep banking simple and low-cost. Many essential transactions - like online bill payments, Interac e-Transfers, and direct deposits - are free and unlimited, with a small fee for in-branch services and withdrawals. If you regularly make more than 20–25 debit purchases or withdrawals a month, this account may not be the best fit, and you might want to consider a different account.
