Cascadia Credit Union announces more than $106,000 in community grants

Revelstoke, Summerland & Osoyoos, B.C. — Cascadia Credit Union has announced more than $106,000 in local organizations and initiatives across Revelstoke, Summerland, and Osoyoos through its spring community grant programs.

The funding will support a wide range of projects that strengthen community well-being, including programs focused on food security, recreation, arts and culture, community connection, and essential social services that support people at all stages of life.

"Supporting local communities has always been at the heart of who we are," said Kelly Marshall, CEO of Cascadia Credit Union. "At Cascadia, we believe in supporting people at every stage of life, and these grants help strengthen the programs, services, and opportunities that make our communities great places to live, work, and grow."

This year's funding will help local organizations:

  • Strengthen social connections and reduce isolation
  • Support health, wellness, and active living
  • Enhance arts and cultural opportunities
  • Provide essential services and supports for individuals and families

The announcement comes during Seniors Week, which recognizes the contributions of older adults throughout British Columbia. Several of this year's funded projects support programs and services that help seniors remain active, engaged, and connected within their communities.

In addition to its community grants, Cascadia has also recently awarded student bursaries to local graduating students pursuing post-secondary education, to be announced in June. Together, these investments reflect Cascadia's commitment to supporting people at every stage of life and contributing to the long-term strength of the communities it serves.
